The Capitol Hotel, opened in 1869 in downtown Woodland, was bought by
Pilot Properties in the hopes of repositioning the old hotel into a new mixed use project. MarketOne Builders, Inc. was hired to complete the structural renovation and upgrades typical of an unreinforced masonry building. New footings, columns and diaphragm upgrades were required to bring this 12,000 s.f. historic landmark up to code so the developer could recognize their plans for retail on the ground floor with loft style apartments on the upper two floors.
