The Owners of Fresno Truck Center requested that MarketOne Builders, Inc. duplicate the building they had just completed in French Camp for their new facility on a piece of land they had bought in Sacramento. Sounds easy enough but for anyone who has been through the design and planning approval process, they will surely understand how un-simple this effort can be. MarketOne Builders, Inc. worked with Comstock Johnson Architects to steer the project through the City of Sacramento Planning Department approval process while concurrently permitting the building for construction. Responding to jurisdictional requirements while trying to satisfy historical cost expectations was the primary challenge of this project. The retail commercial truck sales and service center sits prominently along I-80 in Sacramento and continues to be a successful location for the Fresno Truck Center host of facilities located throughout California.
