MarketOne Builders, Inc. was contracted by the property owner, JB Company, to lead the effort in design-building a new truck repair and sales facility for a local Freightliner truck dealer.The main building which houses administrative offices, truck part sales and service bays is a duplicate of other facilities owned and operated by this dealer.However, given that the building is similar to their others, local codes and planning departments needed to be satisfied by the design team that was under the guidance of Comstock-Johnson Architects.MarketOne Builders, Inc., their consultants and subcontractors took on the challenge of ëbuilding a better mousetrapí.What resulted was a building with a more efficient structural roofing system allowing for more clear height in the service bays and other features to enhance the operation of servicing and selling big rigs.The ultimate challenge of this project was building this facility through an extremely wet winter.Given the moisture content allowable for masonry, MarketOne Builders creatively drove other trades to perform their work more efficiently to deliver this project on time.
